Mirror, Mirror on the wall, which is the most spectacular pantomime of all? Did Snow White meet her Prince Charming? Did the dwarfs overcome the Wicked Queens Magic spells?

After two years as principal comic at Sunderland Empire, Steve was delighted to be working with Gary Telfer, and Guy Pascall of New World Productions during Christmas 2010 / 11. Snow White And The Seven Dwarfs followed the success of Jack and the Beanstalk in December 2009 at the beautifully refurbished Whitley Bay Playhouse. Steve played play "Muddles" the jester, a role he has played twice in previous years.

"Steve Walls’ Muddles looks and sounds the part, and builds a great rapport with the children in the audience. Director Simon Barnard makes a horribly good Herman, the hapless henchman. A scene involving these two and Jonny Freeman (Prince Florizel) shows real chemistry between the actors and proves a highlight"

Laura Fraine; The Stage
"The comedy is provided by Steve Walls as Muddles, he does work the audience extremely well"

John Dixon; Whatsonstage.com
"The cast is, undoubtedly, led by the North East’s number-one comic Steve Walls who, as principal comic, Muddles, wins the entire audience over with his child-like charm and one-liners. Walls works the audience like a true professional and has a natural affinity with young and old. He is superbly supported by ‘Byker Grove’ actress Anne Orwin. Walls and Orwin are, in my opinion, the linchpins of this show and they are to be commended for their energy and enthusiasm, which never flags once"

Steve Burbridge; UK Theatre Network

Fellow cast members included; Jonny Freeman 'Frank London - M.I. High' as Prince, Lucy Dixon 'Danielle Harker - Waterloo Road' as Snow White, Anne Orwin 'Lou Gallagher - Byker Grove' as Wicked Queen and Hazel Pude "Toni- Byker Grove". For more information about Whitley Bay Playhouse, visit;
