'The second guest of the first set was local entertainer, Steve Walls who appeared as an unbilled last-minute replacement for Pauline Daniels, who was unable to fulfil the engagement. Steve's cheeky charm and boyish good looks have elevated him from the social club and cruise ship circuit to rising star status and he quickly had the audience in the palm of his hand. He has a fine voice and gave a rousing performance of the Drifters' hit, There Goes My First Love. He also proved himself to be a fantastic comedian and was a real hit with the audience.'
