Steve was delighted to be asked to play "Buttons" for 2007 / 08 season at the Opera House in Manchester. It will be hopefully the first of many happy collaborations with First Family Entertainment

The show starred Johnny Briggs and Tina O´Brien from "Coronation Street", Bernie Nolan from "Brookside" and "The Bill".

Prince Charming was played by Manchester´s favourite Radio Presenter Mike Toolan. The Ugly Sisters were played by Roger Kitter and Steve Luck. We also had a superb Dandini in Richard Reynard.

We had a great team, and a lot of fun. It proved to be a a record breaking Pantomime for the Opera House, and the reviews for the show were excellent. You will find some of Steve's reviews and various photo's from the Cinderella below.

Panto Reviews

"Geordie Steve Walls was a hugely likeable and down-to-Earth Buttons. Watching Walls interact with the lucky youngsters who got to go on stage was a delight, and performers like him, make the art of panto look very easy"

Kate Stirupp; Metro News

"First up was Buttons (played adeptly by Steve Walls) who was charged with the act of entertaining the crowd. Like a loaded Gatling Gun of lame (but hilarious) jokes he quickly stole the show"

Entertainment Manchester; Richard Graham

"Panto veterans, Roger Kitter and Steve Luck, as Paris and Britney, got laughs as the Ugly Sisters, but stealing the comedy honours is young comedian, Steve Walls, who is a totally appealing Buttons"

The Stage; Natalie Anglessey

"Eric Potts script is excellent, gaining more cheesy laughs per minute than any other Christmas production. Steve Walls Buttons is utterly engaging, delivering Potts gags like bullets. But he also brings sentiment to the piece with ease, working wonderfully with kids picked from the audience"

Whatsonstage; Glenn Meads

"The whole production is held together by Steve Walls as Buttons who quickly gets the children on his side with his cheeky North East patter"

Stephen Garner; BBC Manchester

"Buttons, played by Steve Walls, was the star of the show keeping the audience involved and laughing throughout"

Lancashire Evening Post; Melanie Wallwork
