“Steve
Walls, as Wishee Washee, is completely under-utilised. This
hugely talented performer’s abilities are wasted for
the most part, but credit must be given to him for seizing
and making the most of every opportunity that he was given.
His affinity with the kids in the audience was delightfully
evident when four were brought on stage for a sing-song”
Steve Burbridge; UK Theatre.net
“Wallsend's
Wishee Washee, Steve Walls, is superb as the panto joker and
a clear hit with the kids”
Tegan Chapman; News Guardian
“Steve
Walls as lovelorn Wishee Washee struck up a real rapport with
the young ones. And there was one woman in the audience clearly
willing to give him her number (no, not me)”
Barbara Hodgson; the Journal
“Steve
Walls's cheeky Wishee Washee filled the comedy gap with humour
ancient and modern”
Viv Hardwick; Northern Echo |
|
“North
East-born Steve Walls as Wishee Washee is fantastic with the
kids, building up a great rapport”
Katharine
Capocci; What’s On North East
“Poor
Wishee Washee, the one who cannot find true love or any love
for that matter, was very entertaining and held the audience
with his terrible jokes. He played the character very well”
Julie Dowson; Newcastle Evening
Chronicle
“There's
a real chemistry between Widow Twankey (Dale Meeks) and her
sons Wishee Washee (Steve Walls) and Aladdin”
Georga Spottiswood; Sunderland
Echo
“South
Shields's very own Dale Meeks made a brilliant dame as Widow
Twanky, striking up a fantastic comedy partnership with on-stage
son Wishy Washy (Steve Walls)”
Angela Reed; Shields Gazette
